My dear 10 readers, I am excited to share with you that Xivra's novel is taking a new direction, and this time I am not alone in this creative adventure. My wonderful daughter Vera, who is 11 years old, has joined the project to bring her youthful, fresh and fun vision. Together we will explore the charming town of SilverBrook, where the first part of our story will take place.
SilverBrook is a magical place, a small town surrounded by mystery and charm, perfect for young adventures. With Vera's help, we're going to fill this world with laughter, friendship, and a lot of heart, ensuring that it's a novel that speaks to both the young and those who are still young at heart.
Expect plenty of twists, unforgettable characters, and of course, that unique spark that only Vera could bring!
I don't know where this will take us, but the journey will surely be more fun than the end, so let's get started.
Town Name: Silverbrook
Narrative of the foundation:
Three centuries ago, a group of travellers and farmers fleeing wars in distant lands arrived in the valley where Silverbrook is today. They crossed the forest and, upon reaching the stream that shone under the moonlight, decided to settle there, seeing in that place a refuge promised by the same spirits that, they believed, guided them to that land.
The Legend of Silver Creek
Many generations ago, when the first settlers came to the valley where Silverbrook now sits, they discovered a crystal-clear stream running through the land. This stream was remarkably clear, and under the light of the full moon, it shone with a silvery glow so beautiful that it seemed enchanted. Those early villagers believed that the stream was a gift from the gods or ancient spirits who protected the valley, and they began to call it the “ Silver Brook . ”
According to legend, the water of the stream not only had a mystical glow, but also possessed healing properties. Anyone who drank from its waters under the moonlight was said to receive blessings of health and mental clarity. Over time, villagers took to offering tributes by the stream on special nights, giving thanks for its benefits and asking for prosperity for the village that was beginning to grow around it.
Rumors of the silver brook began to spread through neighboring villages, and people from far away came to see it and test its supposed magical properties. The small village quickly grew, becoming a meeting and trading point. So when it came time to give an official name to this thriving settlement, Silverbrook was the natural choice, in honor of the stream that had made its birth possible.
However, the villagers of Silverbrook maintain that not everyone receives the benefits of the stream; they believe that only those who show respect and kindness towards the land and its inhabitants can experience its effects. This tradition has been passed down through the generations, and even today, on nights of the full moon, some villagers approach the stream to offer small offerings as a sign of gratitude and respect, keeping alive the ancient promise made by their ancestors.
Thus, the name Silverbrook is not only a reference to the stream that runs through it, but also a symbol of unity and gratitude towards the land, a deep connection that remains alive in the heart of every villager.
