Bruno Mars Locked out of heaven seems like PLAGIARISM!

I recently heard this song by Bruno Mars, “Locked out of heaven,” which, forgive me, but can someone explain to me: is there some kind of license for doing this? Have they paid Sting for the rights to copy his song, or what is this copy of “Can't stop losing you” by the English band?
Look, this is Bruno Mars' version.
Or maybe it's more that good old Bruno Marciano has given some affection to the flexible hetero Sting to allow him to do this kind of plagiarism, because knowing the eccentricities, how exquisite and cocky the Londoner is, I don't see how the record company hasn't torn this kid to pieces, who without any respect seems to me to be trying to become a new Michael Jackson, what's up Bruna, when do you start whitewashing yourself.
This reminds me of the song One Direction released last year, titled “Midnight Memories,” which has several sonic similarities to Def Leppard’s song “Pour Some Sugar on Me.”
For those who don't know, I'll explain that although the lyrics are totally different, the melodic base is the same and that is what seems like plagiarism. I'll clarify this before the whole Martian thing starts defending the little guy.
This is an example for those who doubt it.
Bruno has said the following: Bruno Mars has been completely sincere, making known his admiration for The Police, who along with other artists of the stature of Michael Jackson, Stevie Wonder or Freddie Mercury have been a reference for him since he was a child.
My opinion, don't be silly, the admiration and influence of a musical group is not based on copying the melodic lines and rhythms of their best songs, as an example your own admirers can tell you, the living of course, but if it were so there would be more Bohemian Rhapsodies circulating with many authors. I think that rather he wanted to experiment with a rhythm and melody and approved that we know is catchy and very good, and he stuck, as simple as that and now he will look for how to justify the plagiarism.
